First & foremost I want to extend my & the whole Light Brigade  family's 
condolences to Terry Connolly & his family
on the loss of  his brother Neil. Our thoughts & prayers are with you Terry.

If you  haven't been to rehearsal lately your missing out. We are having our 
best  winter in the last 2 or 3 years.
Attendance, while not as good as we would  like to see it is up, we've even 
picked up a few new people!

We are  learning a completely new program, the program of the 1972 27th 
Lancers in  the first year of the
DCI Championship. Last Wed. night the horn line  learned a very cool jazz 
version of George Gershwin's
"A Foggy Day In  London Town"

We are also doing something different with our rehearsal  schedule (on an 
experimental basis). On Sunday
March 11th the corps  will host an open house from 1-4 at the Legion in 
Malden. This Sunday  rehearsal will
be the first of 3 Sunday rehearsals that the corps will  hold. The dates for 
these rehearsals are March 11,
April 29, & May  20. I can not stress enough how important it is to have all 
our people at  the open house.
Obviously if we get visitors at the open house we must be  at our best & that 
only happens when people
attend rehearsals. The  weather is starting to warm up (I know, I'm writing 
this the day we were  all drenched
by pouring rain)!

Along with the open house we have a  parade in Manchester, NH on the 18th, 
plus an indoor show on the  24th
at Everett High School. Both these dates are important! We finished  our 
season last year with excellent attendance
at the Veteran's  Day  & Plymouth parades, let's try to start our year at 
that  level & grow from there!

I've included 2 attachments with this  note, a flyer for the open house & a 
tentative schedule. As you  know,
at this time of year any schedule that is published is subject to  change.

I'm really hoping to see a good turn out on Wed. so we can be  ready for the 
11th. See you there!
