First, I'm writting this from Jerry's computer because mine died on Thursday.
So, if anyone needs to reach me by email use Jerry's address jerry25 at cox.net
Second, I'm very sorry I could not make the parade, I was able to tough out
Memorial weekend & Wildwood but the pain shooting down my leg sometimes is
too much. I'm suposed to go back to work tomorrow but I'm not sure.
Jerry tells me it was a fairley good turnout & you did your usuall great job.
So, since you did so well without me today, now's a good a time as any
to announce I will no longer be marching parades (just kidding, but I had you
going for a second)!
Now, even though we have the parade on the 4th we need to turn our sighes onto
the Glens Falls show. We already know, that because of DCI we'l be short
some people so we need maximum effort from everyone else. So starting on Wed.
we'll need to know if you can't go. Don't forget this is only about 3 1/2 hours away,
if you have something going on that you can't get out of but you could drive & get
there in time you should, the corps will help with gas. Don't forget we were invited even though the show sponcers
knew we would be shorthanded, but they wanted us anyway we have an obligation to
put the best corps on the field we possably can. If you have plans for that day you should change
then, that's as strong & simple I can say it, because if I had other plans for that day I would
change them. Ok, enough lecturing. We'll be scheduling 4 or 5 outdoor rehearals, Wed. July
11th, 18th, 25th, Aug. 1st & possably Sunday July 29th. All these rehearsals will be at the lot
behind the Dunkin Donuts. If we do the Sun. rehearsal it will be for 2 hours only, there is no
need for people to get heat stroke. I know some people don't know where this, directions will
be provided.
Now for some good news, I talked with Walter today & he's doing the show. He really misses the corps,
& Aug 4th will be his last hurrah because the next week it's off to school in Oaklahoma
Kevin McTaggot, & Dave DuBuis (sorry if I butcherd the spelling) will be doing the show,
guys' we need to see you, but you already told me you would be there.
Don't forget, 14 horns, 9 drums, but we came in 2nd in Wildwood!
Some of you that have not been here all year, I'll be giving a phone call, you have to decide if you are with
us for the rest of the year or not, I can't put it any planner than that.
Finally, please excuse any spelling errors, for some reason Jerry's spell check isn't working.
Cathy, do we need permission to use Highland Ave., or do we just show up?
Staff members, we still have to get together, but it can't be a Fri. because Carol can't do Fridays.
See me Wed. & tell me what's good. I don't want to just talk for 10 minutes on a Wed. night
See you Wed.
Bill
