[LB Members] From the Manager - Now is the time

I don't mean to sound so dramatic in the header, but it's true. 
We are into the month of April & since I've been here it seemed that 
April was the key. If we have a good April we have a good year, 
it's that simple. Last year we had a mediocre April & what happened? 
We go to Bayonne & while we didn't do a bad job it wasn't up to the 
standards we have for ourselves. Those standards are high & they are 
the result of the performances we have done in the past. 
 
In some ways it's been a great winter, tough in others. Even though we 
have picked up a few members in the past few weeks it looks like we will 
have a smaller corps than in the past. Even though we will have to do some 
scrambling to meet our performance commitments this year I think we have 
enough talent to overcome it. 
 
What we need to do as members is make sure we are faithful to rehearsals, 
parades & performances. We have some (as with all alumni corps) that are not 
very faithful to the corps commitments, you need to step up. We have some members 
that are not capable of doing parades (as with all alumni corps), but with a group this 
size we surely have members capable of marching down the street but just don't, 
you need to step up, your corps needs you. Please, there is no need for people to come 
up to me to explain why you don't do parades, we are all adults, you don't have to 
explain yourself to me. It's a matter of conscience & integrity. 
 
April is the key. 
 
It's April folks.
